Unlimited subcategory nesting
LOGOS must support subcategories nested to arbitrary depth with no platform-imposed limit.
Why It's Needed
Talkyard caps subcategory depth at one level. Categories that are logically children of another subcategory must be promoted to top level, flattening the navigation and mixing categories of different scope and abstraction at the same hierarchy level. The structure exists in documentation but cannot be expressed in the navigation itself.
The Requirement
A category can contain subcategories. Those subcategories can contain their own subcategories. There is no depth limit. Navigation adapts to the natural structure of the domain rather than forcing the domain to adapt to a navigation constraint.
Acceptance
An administrator can create a category three or more levels deep without workarounds. Navigation correctly reflects the hierarchy at all depths. Topics posted in a deeply nested category are findable through that hierarchy.
